Getting blog visitors is the hardest job for the newbie Bloggers, Even I have straggled a lot in my early days of blogging for these so called blog visitors, but thankfully I learn the magic of getting more visitor later on, As we know these blog visitors are very important for us because these are ones we writing for.
There is something to understand that Getting more and more blog visitor is not important for us but getting our desired visitor is suddenly important. 1. Size of the blog post:

Size of the blog post is something that Google Checks first, in other words if you have very short posts then Google will don't show them in the search results saying that these post are not enough for the user gaudiness and Google will prefer other posts over your blog post... means that you are losing your blog visitor in the Google search results. So don't write very short posts. 

700 to 1000 words post is the best form of a post for Google to index it in search results.

After checking your blog size Google or any other search engine will checks for the subheadings keywords, if these Keywords are not according to the users search keywords then search engine will ignored that post and checks for the next, So always use subheadings relevant to the content of your blog post.
